Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Shipping & Logistics Dispatcher executes outbound shipments beginning-to-end and is the primary point of contact between customers, sales, carriers, and the warehouse. The role requires fast response times, accurate freight quoting (math/weight/crate calculations), clean documentation, and proactive communication so shipments leave on time, profitably, and with no surprises.

Coordinate and execute outbound shipments from order release through final delivery

Serve as the central communication link between customers, sales, carriers, and warehouse teams

Prepare accurate freight quotes using weight, dimensions, crate specifications, and carrier rates

Select appropriate carriers based on cost, service level, and delivery timelines

Schedule pickups and ensure timely dispatch of all shipments

Generate and review shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels, invoices) for accuracy and completeness

Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to stakeholders

Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delivery issues in a timely and professional manner

Ensure all shipments meet company standards for profitability and efficiency

Maintain organized and up-to-date shipment records in internal systems

Collaborate with warehouse staff to confirm readiness, packaging, and loading requirements

Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels

2+ years of experience in logistics/shipping/dispatch coordination
-
Strong understanding of freight terminology, carrier selection, and rate structures

Strong math skills (weights, dimensions, crate counts, truck fit)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized and able to multitask and meet deadlines

Flexible and able to easily adapt to a quickly changing environment

Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 360 (a plus)
