Long Form YouTube Video Editor (Animation & Motion Graphics Specialist)

I’m looking for a skilled video editor who specializes in 2D animation and motion graphics to help create long-form YouTube videos explaining how to play and how to win various board games or puzzles.

These videos will be heavily focused on clarity, pacing, and visual learning. Your job will be to turn scripts and voiceovers into engaging, easy-to-follow visuals that make rules and strategies intuitive, while sprinkling in memes/gifs to work as B roll.

What I’m Looking For:

· Edit long-form YouTube videos (8–15 minutes typical)

· Create 2D animations to demonstrate gameplay mechanics

· Add on-screen text, diagrams, and highlights to reinforce key points

· Visually represent board states, player actions, and rule interactions

· Sync animations and visuals tightly with provided voiceover

· Strong experience with 2D animation/motion graphics

· Ability to simplify complex ideas visually

· Clean, modern editing style (not over-the-top or distracting)

· Strong sense of timing and pacing for educational content

· Experience with tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar

What I Provide:

· Fully written script

· Completed voiceover

· Clear structure for each video

Bonus (Not Required):

· Experience with board games or tabletop content

· Background in educational or explainer-style videos

· Ability to design simple UI-style overlays or game diagrams

Production Schedule:

· 1 video per week (4 videos per month)

· Each video is typically 8-15 minutes long

· Consistent turnaround is required; reliability is critical

Revisions:

· Up to 2 rounds of revisions per video included

· Revisions will be based on clear, consolidated feedback

· Additional revision rounds (if needed) can be discussed separately

Pay Structure:

· Paid per completed video $200-$600 (Depending on complexity)

· Monthly retainer: $800 - $2500/month for 4 videos

· Please include your rate per video when applying

· Ongoing work available for the right fit

Trial Edit:

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to do a short 1-2 minute paid trial edit.
