Long Haul OTR CDL Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and safety standards. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage routes efficiently.

Duties

• Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks.
• Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Navigate routes effectively while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Manage manual transmission vehicles as required for specific routes or cargo types.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience in truck driving, particularly with long haul routes.
• Familiarity with load unloading procedures and freight handling.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
• Previous experience with tanker operations is a plus.
• Strong understanding of route driving techniques and navigation systems.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety protocols and regulations in commercial driving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $0.48 - $0.63 per mile
