Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the business office operations, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of Medicaid claims and reimbursement requests in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Oversee patient financial counseling, including explaining costs, payment options, and assisting with financial arrangements.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare laws, privacy standards (such as HIPAA), and facility policies related to billing and financial documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to verify patient information and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare reports on financial performance, outstanding accounts, and reimbursement trends to inform management decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or business office operations within a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance billing procedures, and healthcare reimbursement policies.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting with residents’ families, insurance providers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in healthcare management software systems such as PointClickCare and similar platforms is preferred.
