Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter new medication orders and updates to patient profiles from the queue

Identify controlled substance requests and process them following established protocols

Troubleshoot insurance rejections and coordinate with the billing department as needed

Prioritize and triage routes and orders appropriately

Contact facilities to obtain missing information or advise when medications cannot be dispensed

Answer phone calls promptly, within the first three rings

Notify the pharmacist of medication orders that cannot be dispensed and communicate updates to facilities under pharmacist guidance

Strictly adhere to the Absolute Check Policy; bypassing pharmacist checks may result in termination

Communicate effectively with Back Counter staff regarding order changes or updates

Deliver timely and professional customer service

Participate in all required business-related meetings and training sessions
Qualifications & Desired Experience

Strong working knowledge of Framework software is essential

High school diploma or equivalent required

Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred

Previous pharmacy technician experience required

High typing speed with a strong focus on accuracy and detail

Excellent organizational and clerical skills, including proficiency with filing and office equipment

Ability to manage workload independently and adapt to changing situations

Quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet required for remote work
