Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
Hylan Medicine Cabinet LTC is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Data Entry and Filling Technicians to join our long-term care pharmacy team. We are looking for dependable professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety.

In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure prescriptions are processed and dispensed accurately while supporting the daily

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system (QS1)
• Prepare and fill prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain and update Medication Administration Records (MARs)
• Verify insurance coverage and process billing information
• Coordinate prior authorization requests with insurance providers and medical offices
• Communicate effectively with nurses, facility staff, physicians’ offices, and insurance representatives
• Provide courteous and professional customer service
• Support daily pharmacy workflow and assist with operational tasks as needed
• Follow established policies, procedures, and compliance standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy data entry experience (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy filling technician (required)
• QS1 experience is highly encouraged
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting
• Excellent communication skills
