Founded in 2002, Eastside Prep was re-accredited by the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) in January 2019. Eastside Prep has grown from 17 students in 2003-2004 to a total of 538 students for 2025-2026 academic year.


Position Summary: Teaches mixed-age Middle School math classes (grades 5–8), preparing students for Algebra 1. Instructional style balances direct instruction and inquiry-based learning. Reports to the Middle School Head. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave from January 12, 2026 to May 22, 2026.


All teachers work as part of a teaching team to create an inquiry-based interdisciplinary program in which the academic disciplines are taught as systems and methods of thinking about significant content. Responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching, assessment, communication with parents, collaborative work with colleagues, and general engagement with the entire school.

Experience
and Credentials

  • Minimum of five years teaching in the discipline or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study required, Master's or Doctorate preferred


Compensation

  • Our competitive salary range is $6,000 to $7,500 per month, based on experience. The first and last month of employment will be prorated based on the start and end dates.
