Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across designated routes.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or roll-off containers.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
• Drive route deliveries while adhering to schedules, traffic laws, and safety standards.
• Manage freight documentation accurately and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
• Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or trailers to prevent shifting during transit.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers and commercial trucks.
• Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently.
• Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
• Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment for freight handling when necessary.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking, including DOT compliance standards.
