Lorry Driver Class 1

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 Lorry Driver tramper to join our logistics team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with a minimum of 3 nights out. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Operate a fridge or curtain sider lorry in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations
• follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness
• Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper securing of cargo during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times, including health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for delivery drivers
• Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently
• Good organisational skills to manage schedules and routes effectively
• Physical fitness for loading, unloading, and securing cargo as required
• Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
