Lorry Driver / Fitter / Fleet Co Ordinator

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable 7.5t truck driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a passion for driving and delivering quality service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working condition
• Load and unload cargo with care, adhering to safety regulations and weight limits
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen issues
• Comply with all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies at all times
• Manage any vehicle defects or accidents
• The role will also include installing sports equipment across the UK
• There will be overnight stays

Skills

• Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries or similar equipment
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo safely
• Good organisational skills to manage schedules and documentation efficiently
• Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally
• Prior experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
