Lounge Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lounge Manager to oversee the overall operations and management of our establishment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for hospitality, dedicated to ensuring operational excellence, delivering unparalleled customer service, and achieving financial targets. You will be responsible for managing daily activities, leading a diverse team, fostering vendor relationships, and driving the venue's reputation as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership & Excellence

  • Oversee all daily operations of the lounge, including service standards, facility management, and guest experience from entry to departure.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, sanitation, and food safety regulations in compliance with UAE law.
  • Manage staff scheduling, inventory control, and supply ordering to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal of the venue.

2. Financial Management & Profitability

  • Manage the lounge's budgets, control expenses, and implement strategies to achieve profitability goals.
  • Oversee revenue streams, monitor financial performance against targets, and analyze P&L statements.
  • Work closely with the accounting department for accurate financial reporting, payroll, and vendor payments.

3. Team Management & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule front-line staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement staff development programs.
  • Address team challenges promptly and ensure alignment with the company's mission and values.

4. Guest Experience & Service Standards

  • Act as the ultimate ambassador for guest satisfaction, proactively addressing feedback and resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement and monitor service protocols to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest journey.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance guest loyalty, retention, and overall satisfaction.

5. Vendor & Inventory Management

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage performance to ensure quality, consistency, and value.
  • Oversee inventory levels for the bar and kitchen, minimizing waste and optimizing stock turnover.

6. Marketing, Events, & Brand Promotion

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives that drive footfall and brand visibility.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of in-lounge events, live entertainment, and special promotions.
  • Contribute to social media and PR efforts by providing insights and content related to lounge activities and trends.

7. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with all municipal regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports on key metrics (e.g., revenue, guest satisfaction, staff performance) to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role in a high-volume, upscale restaurant, lounge, or hotel environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, including health and safety standards.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and solve problems effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Relevant hospitality management qualification is preferred.
