A. Role Summary:
The Low Voltage Installer performs wiring and programming of telecommunications, network, surveillance, and access control systems and performs a variety of wiring duties related to the operation of client telecommunications, network, and access control systems, including maintenance; technical analysis of malfunctions and planning of corrective action; and technical evaluation of operational requirements. The Low Voltage Technician III also performs wiring of high voltage electrical circuits in support of low voltage systems. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Operations Director who assigns responsibilities and sets priorities. Employee is expected to perform with a high degree of independence to include planning the work for efficiency and for avoiding unnecessary disruption of the clients' environment. The Low Voltage Technician Ill is responsible for the full deployment of projects including providing direction to partner technicians. Electrical trades work is performed independently and in conformance with local city, county, and state codes and standards of the profession. Completed work is evaluated for timeliness, completeness, documentation, code compliance, safety, and established priorities.
B. Key Responsibilities
1. Evaluate, and define, and communicate installation project requirements
a) Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of low voltage systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
b) Maintain constant communication with clients, staff, vendors, and contractors regarding projects and orders.
c) Identify and analyze alternative new products to achieve optimal solutions that satisfy cost, technical requirements, and project schedules.
d) Prepare teams for all aspects of installation projects
e) Effectively procure project emergency need material.
f) Execute travel arrangements for out of area projects within the specified budgets.
2. Project execution.
a) Coordinate cross-functional teams, including sales executives, installers, vendors, and support staff through project development phase to installation completion. Oversight includes installation readiness, compliance with regulations and driving remedy efforts if necessary.
b) Estimate deployment timelines, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
c) Communicate with management and sales departments if orders deviate from original planning to apply necessary change orders.
d) Ensure adhesion to all health and safety regulations from client and regulatory agencies.
e) Communicate project status updates with clients and internal teams that keeps them current with job progress, changes, and issues.
f) Provide Technical expertise for installation, repair, maintenance and movement of wiring equipment.
g) Understand and autonomously execute assigned tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
3. Installation and process optimization
a) Partner with management to develop effective installation schedules. Have strong understanding of the requirements in the core functional areas and drive efficiency and consistency in project execution.
b) Execute project optimization techniques and policies as directed.
c) Ensure all safety regulations are followed during deployments and provide feedback on necessary changes or team education needs.
4. Training
a) Train and develop Level I & II technicians in all skills related to the installation process and internal systems.

Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
