Low Voltage Parts Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing our supply chain and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services. Your primary responsibility will be to negotiate with suppliers, analyze pricing, and maintain inventory levels. DUTIES:

- Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory and manage purchasing activities
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
- Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., Edwards, AS400) for inventory management
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Ability to analyze pricing data and make informed purchasing decisions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
