Job Summary:

ServicePoint IT is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our team for CAT5 and CAT6 cabling installations in large commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and large-scale commercial installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test CAT5 and CAT6 network cabling in commercial environments.
• Perform cable routing, dressing, labeling, and troubleshooting.
• Adhere to industry standards for structured cabling, including BICSI guidelines.
• Work with fiber optic terminations and patch panels as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation.
• Ensure proper cable management, organization, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other technicians.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to OSHA standards.
• Local resources only. There may be other opportunities to travel in the future.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in structured cabling installation (CAT5, CAT6).
• Proficiency in cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Fluke testers and other network testing tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (heights, confined spaces, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• BICSI certification or other structured cabling certifications.
• Experience with fiber optic installation.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Ability to travel nationwide in the future.
