Lowbed Driver

The Lowbed Driver is responsible for transporting heavy machinery, construction equipment, and oversized loads across the UAE using a lowbed (lowboy) trailer. The role requires compliance with UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate lowbed trailers to transport heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, cranes, generators, and industrial machinery.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment safely using chains, binders, and straps in accordance with UAE safety standards.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
• Ensure compliance with UAE traffic laws, RTA rules, and company HSE policies.
• Follow approved routes and transport permits for oversized or overweight loads.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, logistics teams, and equipment operators.
• Maintain accurate delivery notes, trip sheets, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Report accidents, breakdowns, or mechanical issues immediately.
• Keep the vehicle clean and ensure routine maintenance requirements are met.
• Adhere to company schedules and delivery timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a lowbed/lowboy driver in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE roads, highways, and industrial areas.
• Experience handling oversized and heavy cargo.
• Familiarity with RTA transport permits and road restrictions.
• Physically fit and able to work long hours.
• Good understanding of basic vehicle maintenance.
