The American International School - Riyadh is seeking a licensed full-time Elementary School Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Please only apply if you meet the minimum criteria below; candidates who do not meet the minimum criteria will not be considered.
Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must be a resident of Saudi Arabia and a dependent under her/his husband's/wife's sponsorship (Local Hire Status)

Professional Teaching Certification is required. (Elementary School Licensed Educator, North American)

Certification in the specific subject area.

4 year Bachelor's Degree required.

Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.

A proven record of excellence in prior full-time Lower Elementary teaching posts for a minimum of two years

Fluent English language capacity.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to start work August 6, 2026.

Understands and can commit to AIS-R work hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm. (5:00pm on Tuesdays).

Terms of Employment and Additional Responsibilities: Salary is assigned from the Faculty salary schedule; the contract term is 190 days. Compensation will be determined based on the established Faculty salary schedule.
Contractual hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. (5:00 pm on Tuesdays)
Faculty are expected to fulfill duties that extend beyond the school day, including commitments to after-school activities (ASAs), after-school learning (ASL), and coaching (requirement for Physical Education teachers).
Learning and Growth: Performance is appraised through the AIS-R Professional Growth and Evaluation framework and in accordance with school policy by the designated Supervisor.
