LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our counseling group practice. The LPC will be responsible for conducting intake assessments and providing psychotherapy services tailored to the unique needs of each client. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding standards.
  • Provide individual, couples, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety and well-being.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and best practices in behavioral health.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in mental health counseling and ICD coding updates.
  • Properly utilize the Simple Practice app, including completing notes within 24 hours of each session.
  • Maintain scheduling of clients, amounting to a minimum of 25 clients per week.
  • Actively participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated with best practices in mental health.
  • Foster a warm and supportive environment for all clients and coworkers.

Experience

  • Proven experience in psychotherapy across various modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, social work, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with children & families, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and patients requiring crisis management or trauma-informed care such as PTSD or grief counseling.
  • Experience with private practice is preferred.
  • Familiarity with counseling terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Pay: $44.00 - $49.00 per hour
