Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide expert clinical supervision, deliver high-quality mental health services, and support diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to licensed and unlicensed counselors, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises.
- Engage in case management activities, coordinating care with medical providers and social services to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment effectiveness and contribute to ongoing program development.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and behavioral therapy.
- Proficiency working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, and special education populations.
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention methods, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards.
- Telehealth experience delivering remote counseling services effectively while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using diagnostic tools such as ICD classifications; experience with inpatient/outpatient settings preferred.
- Skilled in social work principles, patient care coordination, psychopharmacology basics, and gender issues counseling as applicable. Pay: $15.00 - $50.00 per hour
