The LPN supports the Resident Wellness Director by ensuring high-quality resident care and departmental consistency.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Resident Care & Administration:
- Perform all duties with a positive attitude, impeccable ethics, and integrity.
- Provide physical and emotional support to all residents, including administering medication and measuring/recording vital signs.
- Observe, document, and report significant changes in residents' conditions.
- Complete all required electronic documentation in a timely manner (in Move N).
- Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Facilitate residents in getting to and from functions.
- Complete Incident/Accident Reports as needed.
- Medication Management:
- Follow all company policies and state regulations regarding medication management (receipt, storage, administration, destruction, and documentation).
- Verify and store medications upon receipt.
- Leadership & Supervision (When in Charge of Shift):
- Be in charge of the shift and supervise Wellness team members.
- Determine shift assignments and provide instruction to the Wellness team.
- Provide corrective feedback, discipline, and participate in the performance review process for Wellness team members.
- Ensure effective communication between shifts.
- Accept call-offs and modify the schedule to ensure proper staffing.
- Professionalism & Compliance:
- Maintain current licensure, associated certifications, credentials, and annual continuing education requirements.
- Conduct and/or attend in-service training sessions and orientations.
- Respond to residents' needs, respecting their rights, privacy, and dignity while ensuring safety.
- Current LPN License in good standing.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable with repetition and routine work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires punctuality, dependable transportation, and reliable attendance.
- Must successfully pass a background check, assessment, and drug test.
