LPN or RN - Activities Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and dependable LPN or RN who is a people's person, has an outgoing personality, can create and lead activities, teach health related lessons, and prepare simple meals.

This position is administrative in nature. Primary duties of the LPN or RN / Activities Coordinator include:

- Maintain participant's daily activity participation record

- Maintain participant's daily attendance record

- Maintain the medication administration record for participants being administered medications onsite

- Maintain other required documents for participant's files

- Assist with scheduling medical appointments for participants needing assistance with managing primary care visits

- Consult with RN staff, if LPN, as needed as the medical conditions of participants change

- Ensure the safety of participants

- Lead activities such as arts, crafts, and group games

- Coordinate and attend group outings

- Teach health related lessons once per month

- Ensure fire/safety compliance by implementing quarterly fire drills and disaster preparedness drills once per calendar year

- Maintain the cleanliness of the center

Preferred Qualifications: Administrative or director experience, activities coordinator experience, and/or 5 years or more LPN experience in a facility setting. The ideal candidate is someone looking for an administrative nursing position or nearing retirement and looking for a slow paced position.

The center is currently open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9a.m. - 3:00 p.m. We are looking for an individual willing to expand and grow with the center. We plan to open on Mondays & Wednesdays starting early next year. Fridays will be designated as an administrative planning day, 30hrs per week.
