We are seeking a qualified and experienced Program Director to lead and oversee the LPN Program. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive leadership in the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of program operations. The Program Director collaborates closely with senior academic leadership, including the Administrative Nursing Director and Chief Academic Officer, to support institutional initiatives and advance program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic advising and guidance to prospective and current students regarding program requirements and career pathways
- Ensure students are appropriately oriented to laboratory and clinical environments prior to beginning clinical training
- Oversee the admissions process, including recruitment support, candidate evaluation, and onboarding/orientation activities
- Verify that students fulfill all academic and regulatory requirements for graduation and licensure eligibility
- Coordinate faculty assignments for classroom instruction and clinical placements
- Lead and document regular faculty meetings, maintaining accurate records and minutes
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and professional development of nursing faculty
- Monitor instructional effectiveness and contribute to faculty evaluations, program review, and strategic planning initiatives
- Direct the planning, development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of all aspects of the LPN program
- Develop, implement, and periodically update program policies and standard operating procedures
- Prepare and submit required documentation for regulatory and accreditation purposes, including reports, self-studies, surveys, and site visit materials
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable state regulations governing LPN education and practice
- Establish and maintain partnerships with clinical affiliates to support student learning experiences
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clinical sites, including safety, risk assessment, and capacity to meet clinical learning objectives
- Ensure clinical affiliation agreements are current, compliant, and properly maintained
- Gather and analyze feedback from students, faculty, and clinical partners following each clinical rotation; prepare summary reports for executive leadership and advisory committees
- Serve as a liaison between the institution and the broader community, fostering collaborative relationships
- Assist in identifying and securing external resources that support program growth and quality improvement
- Participate in institutional and program-specific committees, including the Nursing Advisory Committee, and support meeting planning and implementation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required continuing education credentials
