Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate LPN Unit Manager to join our team at Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Winston-Salem, NC. As an LPN Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of care to residents, developing care plans, and administering nursing care. Responsibilities:

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve customer experience, workflow, and work environment

• Collect information and assist in completing evaluations of residents at admission and discharge

• Notify residents or legal representatives of pending discharge 24 hours in advance

• Chart complete discharge summary, including discharge planning and referrals, on date of discharge

• Keep complete and accurate record of sign-in/out sheets for staffing hours

• Work closely with the Director of Nursing to resolve grievances with nursing staff, family members, and residents

• Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff

• Participate in programs related to infection control, exposure control, and resident care

• Work on-call schedule and assist with medication cart or floor duties as needed

• Other special projects and duties, as assigned

Requirements:

• Licensed Nurse with current state license

• One (1) to three (3) years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred

• Must have a current/active CPR certification

• Excellent technical and documentation skills

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills

• Demonstrated basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation

• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change

• Function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors
