Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our dynamic healthcare team or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a Pain Management Setting . This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ conditions and provide appropriate emergency medical care.
- Perform triage and prioritize patient needs in high-stress situations.
- Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
- Provide care for patients that need Intravenous Starts (IV access) and documentation of IV care.
- Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing patient assessment during transport.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in medical records.
- Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for emergency response.
- Provide support for patients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and other specialized needs.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.
Qualifications
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) and advanced airway management techniques.
- Experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and patient assessment is essential.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as well as infection control practices.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.

Pay: $21.72 - $26.15 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
