Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, comprehensive behavioral health services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, across clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, community programs, and home-based care. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews to determine mental health needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, and geriatrics including Alzheimer’s care.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure immediate safety and stabilization of clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans that incorporate social work principles and community resources.
- Collect data for clinical research projects related to behavioral health outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Experience
- PProven experience providing psychotherapy or clinical counseling in outpatient or community settings.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required to effectively serve diverse populations.
- Familiarity with working with children and families in home or school environments; experience with special education is a plus.
- Knowledge of EMR systems for documentation, data collection, and medical records management.
- Experience with diagnostic coding systems such as ICD-10/ICD-9 for accurate record keeping.
- Background in working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, including autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Skills in motivational interviewing, crisis management, addiction counseling, and trauma-informed care (including PTSD).
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Experience supporting patients through psychopharmacology coordination in collaboration with medical providers is advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are credentialed with Oscar Health Insurance (or are eligible and willing to become credentialed).
