LTL Dock Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) Dock Worker to join our logistics team in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and staging freight in a fast-paced terminal environment. Accuracy, safety, and efficiency are critical for success in this role. Starting salary will be $20 - $25 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move LTL freight.
• Load and unload trailers according to manifest and weight distribution requirements.
• Inspect shipments for damage and verify piece counts against shipping documents.
• Secure freight using decking, straps, and dunnage to prevent transit damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience specifically in LTL dock operations or heavy freight handling.
• Equipment: Proficiency in operating forklifts.
• Transportation: Must have a reliable personal vehicle for commuting to the terminal; public transportation is not accessible for all shift times.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Reliability: Strong track record of punctuality and attendance.
