The Spa Sales Manager is responsible for creating, promoting and overseeing a profitable spa through client focus, sales generation, and inventory management. The Spa Sales Manager is also responsible for creating and executing a strategic marketing plan and maximizing exposure in the local marketplace. The Spa Sales Manager provides effective leadership to all spa staff and service providers. A successful Spa Sales Manager has significant spa and/or retail management experience handling all aspects of operations, marketing and revenue management. Working with the Spa Manager, The Spa Sales Manager is also responsible for maximizing spa volume in accordance with company goals, policies, and procedures. The Spa Sales Manager facilitates the growth of the spa and is the advocate for the brand within the facility and the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in a team-focused environment, while simultaneously driving sales, service, and spa profitability
- Develop a local business plan that markets the spa to new clients and untapped markets in the surrounding community
- Increase spa visibility in the community via partnership with local publications, charitable organizations, and other beneficial groups
- Monitor the physical inventory process
- Interpret financial reports and provide expertise on (projected) Revenue vs. Expenses
- Utilize financial plans for spotting trends, measuring productivity and monitoring growth
- Control ongoing service and product margin analysis to ensure profitability
- Assist spa manager with administering spa staff and client scheduling for maximum revenue generation and profitability
- Uphold gracious and efficient front desk procedures in the booking and care of clients
- Create ongoing in-house promotions and activities to stimulate sales, staff and clients
- Develop and grow retail sales through training, operational procedures, merchandising, researching retail opportunities, various tools and monitoring inventory levels
- Anticipate, identify, and ensure customer needs are being met in the best possible way, by guiding staff as caring and accommodating problem-solvers
- Assist in management of all spa staff and service providers
- Demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism commensurate with the brand
- Create a motivating environment of sincerity, warmth and luxury for staff and clients
- Perform additional spa initiatives as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of management experience within a comparable industry and a proven track record in leading a team with successful end results
- Demonstrated experience in strategic and creative marketing initiatives, spa environment preferred
- Demonstrated experience working in an environment focused on client development
- Proven history of exceeding sales plans, business objectives and high performance objectives
- The ability to learn applications and software that may be proprietary
- Ability to manage and motivate a dynamic team of professional aestheticians and spa staff
- Strong decision making skills utilizing problem-solving analysis, financial analytical ability and decisiveness
- Focused on attention to detail, taking initiative, and creating a positive working environment
- Ability to work well with others, as well as the ability to work independently to drive a profitable spa
- Exhibit sound business judgment, demonstrated people management, and organizational ability
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
