Position Overview:
Requirements for this position are as follows:
TITLE: Dispensing Nurse
LOCATION: 21505 Norwalk Blvd.Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing / Program Physician / Program Director
TIME/STATUS: This is a Full - time position. Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, 4:45 am - 1:15 pm.
Essential Job Functions
· Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
· Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
· Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions
· Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
· Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
· Follow dosing Protocol
· Follow and Dispense as per Doctors Orders
· Maintain Reports and log books in order
· Maintain accurate accounting of all methadone received, and dispensed
· Conduct Daily, Monthly, and Biannual Inventory
· Complete each patient’s chart by documenting with proper dates, signatures, etc.
· Knows and follows protocol for U/A’s (including entering in the computer) (if applicable)
· Prepare all mandated reports, documentation, and other requirements, in a timely fashion.
· Assist in orientation of new colleagues and student supervision
· Assist in other non-assigned duties
Qualifications:
· Maintains Current LVN or RN License
· Maintains Current CPR
· MAT Training
Job Expectations:
· Attend all mandatory facility in-services and staff meetings
· Attend Trainings as required or Mandated
· Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
· Adhere to facility, department, personnel and standard policies and
procedures
· Get along well with co-workers and work as a team player.
· Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information
· Participate in quality improvement activities such as Outcome Measures and Client Satisfaction Surveys.
· Follow HIPPA rules and regulations
· Follow tasks assigned by supervising nurse
Ability to React Calmly and Effectively in Emergency Situations
· Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures
· Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, recommend/implement courses of action to stabilize the environment
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Assure patient’s rights are observed in order to improve the program and processes of patient involvement
· Adhere to facility standards concerning attendance and punctuality
· Adhere to facility standards concerning dress code
· Ability to work as a team player
· Ability to work in team groups
Responsibilities:
· Ensure Methadone is kept safe (medication is locked in the safe, no other staff allowed in dispensing room, and dispensing door should is locked at all times)
· Know and follow protocol for Infection Control Practices
· Know and follow protocol for all Clinic Protocol
· Know and follow protocol for Staff and Patient Emergencies
· Report unsafe conditions to appropriate persons
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
