M D or N P with NPI in Illinois

Overview
We are hiring THREE independent Medical Doctor (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a National Provider Identifier (NPI) to join our growing team in Chicago and suburbs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings, utilizing your expertise to improve health outcomes and enhance patient experiences. Responsibilities

• SELF Schedule - mostly remote after 3 weeks
• M A + DRIVER options available
• Conduct FOCUSED patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• weekdays, Afternoons and Saturdays.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics.
• Administer treatments including injections, suturing, IV infusions, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and esthetic laser procedures.
• E/M visits as a PCP w/o phlebotomy, Gyne, procedures, EKG
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Develop discharge plans, coordinate referrals for specialty care like cardiology or infectious disease management, and participate in case management activities.
• Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care and provide remote patient support when appropriate.Experience
• Proven clinical experience in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on primary care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or critical care environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
• Will NOT be performing procedures such as catheterization, spinal taps, gastroscopic evaluations, or airway management techniques.
• Background working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, assisted living residents, hospice & palliative care patients.
• Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), utilization review processes, and Workers' Compensation law is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile processing standards to ensure safe practice environments.

Pay: $308.00 - $1,242.00 per week
