Key Accountabilities

  • Assemble and test industrial labelling machines, sub-assemblies and electrical circuits and components to agreed quality standards using approved methods and procedures, working to production schedules and targets to ensure timely output. Disassemble used machinery in preparation for remanufacturing. Work in a safe, quality minded cost-effective and efficient manner that meets quality requirements and on-time delivery, including conformance to specifications and Sinclair standards, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical equipment using approved methods and utilizing mechanical drawings, schematics, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Assemble new and reconditioned components such as castings, machined parts, fabrications, gears, bearings, levers, shafts, electrical motors and drive belts; align and mesh gears to assemble gearboxes.
  • Cut, strip, bend and form wires, cables and conduit; solder or crimp connectors to wire ends; connect wire circuits to terminals; install electrical assemblies.
  • Perform operational and electrical tests using standard test procedures and test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies; diagnoses the cause of malfunctions or failures and performs corrective maintenance.
  • Work to quality standards and follow associated reporting procedures for defective materials.
  • Complete work orders according to production schedules and work-to lists.
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in manual and computerized systems.
  • Maintain the good condition of company property, maintain the cleanliness of work areas and provide general housekeeping.
  • Abide by all statutory requirements and company policies and procedures including those relating to HR and health and safety.
  • Communicate with engineering department staff assigned to work on manufacturing issues.
  • Disassemble used equipment for cleaning and inspection and rebuild into new Recon Machines
  • Participate in continual improvement projects.
  • Provides assistance to other machine production department employees as assigned.
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement Efforts, 5S Activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
