Machine Learning Team Lead

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and AI solutions that drive strategic decision-making and enhance product capabilities. Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow and R.
• Design scalable data pipelines and manage large datasets leveraging Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases.
• Implement natural language processing (NLP) solutions for text analysis and language understanding tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights.
• Utilise AWS services for model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in cloud environments.
• Write efficient code in Python, Java, C, or VBA to support model development and integration.
• Perform database design optimisation to ensure robust data storage solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI and machine learning to continually enhance project outcomes.

Experience

• Proven experience in developing machine learning models within a commercial or research environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with familiarity in R, SAS, Bash (Unix shell), Java, C, and VBA is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS for deploying AI solutions.
• Demonstrable knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases.
• Expertise in natural language processing (NLP), data mining techniques, and AI methodologies.
• Familiarity with database design principles and data architecture best practices.
• Prior involvement in projects utilising TensorFlow, Hadoop ecosystem tools, or similar frameworks is highly desirable.
