Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures, while setting the example for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead by example in diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions, helping guide team members through complex troubleshooting scenarios.
- Design and test hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems (including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.), while sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
- Take initiative in the design, fabrication, machining, and repair of jigs, fixtures, and parts for projects, equipment repair, maintenance work orders, and machine modifications.
- Support coordination of maintenance activities by helping prioritize tasks, improve workflows, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Write, program, troubleshoot, modify, and/or repair programmable logic controllers (PLC), robotics, conveyors, and other process equipment, while mentoring others in these systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment using standard and specialized hand/power tools (pipe threader, press, welder, cutting torch, machining, etc.), promoting best practices across the team.
- Act as a resource on the floor by assisting teammates, reinforcing standards, and contributing to a collaborative and accountable work environment.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and take ownership in driving solutions that reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
Requirements & Skills:
- Certification from a college or technical school, or two (2) years of related work experience preferred; high school diploma or G.E.D. required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience installing and maintaining industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, PLC, and robotic systems knowledge preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities such as initiative, accountability, problem-solving, and effective communication.
- Ability to support, guide, and positively influence team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow into a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and support team coordination.
