JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for setting up extruder machine(s) to specifications of part and/or material orders.
- Responsible for the overall productivity of the production line, including communicating necessary directives to off bearing personnel.
- Operate machinery utilizing control systems and performing manual and/or hand tool adjustments.
- Perform the disassembling, cleaning, and assembling of die, including attaching, or installing die to machine.
- Load hopper with correct compound assuring that hopper maintains adequate limits throughout the job.
- Confirm all inputs into the ERP system are complete and correct.
- Complete daily production reports.
- Collect all necessary test samples and properly label for quality checks.
- Adjust die, heat, and/or other processing parameters to maintain quality.
- Verify proper construction of pallets (assuring accurate lengths, cardboard or plyboard placement).
- Package material produced according to information on material and/or part orders; stretch wrapping rolls and/or banding pallets as indicated to material specification.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout shift (including sorting and removing non-conformant material, sweeping, clearing aisleways and working walking surfaces, and following standards to ensure a well-maintained work environment).
- Assist with grinding non-conformant material, winder, and palletizing operations.
- Perform on-the-job training to new employees.
- Participate in required training.
- Operate various PIV equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong ability to use measurement tools.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Good understanding of production procedures and best practices.
- Must perform duties while observing all OSHA compliant and company safe work practices and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, carry, push, pull, reach, and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the co-workers, company representatives, management, and staff in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, chemicals and/or airborne particles, high pressure fluids, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
