Machine Operator I

Summary:

South Valley Almond Company is seeking a proactive and collaborative Machine Operator to join our almond processing team. This role is responsible for packing almond products into boxes, totes, tri-walls, or bags, and assisting with bin repair and equipment cleaning as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Fill, sew, stack, and handle 50-pound bags or boxes according to production requirements.
• Check and verify product weights to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Perform tasks accurately and consistently with attention to detail.
• Follow customer product specifications and report issues or deviations promptly.
• Comply with all food safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain flexibility to support other departments and report operational or safety concerns.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, follow safety rules and procedures for handling goods and supplies, and manage time to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Willingness to comply with GMP, Food Safety, OSHA, and company safety program requirements.
• Basic technical aptitude to understand and follow food safety systems and quality procedures.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing or regulated production environments.
• Familiarity with HACCP programs and food safety systems preferred.
