Sheeter Operator – Corrugated Packaging Production

Packaging and Pads R Us is hiring a dependable, mechanically inclined Sheeter Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating sheeting equipment that converts corrugated roll stock into accurately cut sheets, pads, and packaging components.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role that requires attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment. The right candidate will be comfortable setting up equipment, measuring finished product, monitoring quality, and working with the team to meet daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Sheeter Equipment
Set up and run sheeter machinery to cut corrugated material to customer specifications. Monitor machine speed, alignment, sheet size, stacking, and material flow throughout the run.
Measure and Inspect Product
Check sheet width, length, squareness, count, stack quality, and overall appearance. Ensure finished product meets customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Set Up Jobs Accurately
Read job instructions, verify material, confirm dimensions, adjust machine settings, and prepare the work area before production begins.
Maintain Production Flow
Feed material, monitor output, assist with stacking and palletizing, and keep the machine area organized to support safe and efficient production.
Perform Basic Troubleshooting
Identify and correct common issues such as misalignment, poor cuts, sheet walking, count errors, or material handling problems. Communicate larger mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance.
Follow Safety Procedures
Follow all company safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and equipment operating standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete Production Documentation
Accurately record production counts, job information, quality checks, downtime, and other required production data.
Work as Part of a Team
Communicate with supervisors, material handlers, maintenance, and other operators to keep production running smoothly and meet customer deadlines.
