Machine Operator/Forklift Operator

Job Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machine Operator and Forklift Operator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth production processes and efficient materials handling. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with advanced machinery, including CNC machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools, while maintaining a safe and productive environment. Your expertise will help drive quality manufacturing outcomes and support the seamless flow of materials throughout our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and flexo presses with precision and safety.
  • Use forklift trucks to handle materials, raw supplies, and finished products across the warehouse and production areas efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining and fabrication.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and troubleshoot issues related to Fanuc controllers or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Conduct quality control inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace by performing routine equipment maintenance, tooling checks, and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist in assembly line operations, materials handling, packaging, and fabrication tasks as needed to support production goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, or flexo presses within a factory environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, tooling setup, and assembly.
  • Ability to work effectively on an assembly line while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for quality control purposes.
  • Prior factory or warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with CAM programming or CNC programming is advantageous. Pay: $17.00 - $20.50 per hour
