Machine Shop Quality inspector

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Machine Shop Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing, and verifying precision components and assemblies, adhering to strict industry standards per ISO 9001 regulations. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with quality management systems and ensuring products meet all specifications and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Utilize vision inspection systems to identify surface defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications.
• Perform quality audits and assessments in accordance with ISO 9001 regulations to ensure compliance across manufacturing processes.
• Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, documenting findings accurately for review and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures within the manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformances and facilitate corrective actions aligned with quality systems.
• Support calibration and maintenance of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits related to quality management standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality control or quality inspection within a manufacturing setting, preferably involving precision machining or machine shop environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and related quality standards.
• Proficiency with measurement instruments.
• Familiarity with calibration procedures for precision measuring instruments.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify root causes of issues.
• Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions within a structured quality management system.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time
