Machinist

Objective:

Program, Sets Up and Operate metal cutting and wire EDM machinery to build tools and parts of various dimensions.

Job Duties:

· Program, set-up and run CNC/NC equipment to create the part assigned.

· Interpret blueprint, sketches, drawings, manual, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances, sequences needed to make finished piece.

· Utilize AutoCAD DXF files in CNC/NC equipment to perform required work.

· Create guides and specifications regarding set up for future subsequent machining.

· Install machined parts and mechanisms to validate proper operation.

· Coordinate/collaborate with end user or leader to complete assigned tasks per requirements.

· Maintain proper tool/equipment and perform duties in compliance to safety requirements.

· Change fixtures, inserts and tools as needed. Ensure proper storage and condition.

Support and comply with all AlphaUSA company/safety standards and standard operating procedures.

Skills:

Skilled in machining procedures

Material properties

Computer Operation – understanding CNC/NC controls and programming language

Read and interpret drawings, sketches and blueprints.

Maintain inventory records.

Complete work within deadlines.

Verbal and written communication skills.

Problem Solving

Pay: $20.40 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• CNC: 2 years (Required)
• EDM: 2 years (Preferred)
• CNC programming: 1 year (Preferred)
