Machinist - 1st & 2nd Shift

Job Overview
Based in Valencia, ca, TRIUMPH Actuation Products and Services specializes in manufacturing hydraulic and pneumatic valves, complex actuator systems, and other components for aerospace applications.

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machinist working on both 1st or 2nd shift! In this role, you will operate and set up and perform a variety of precision machine operations utilizing up to two or more CNC or manual machining centers to cut, shape, drill, or form metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties.

Multiple Openings

Positions: 1st shift & 2nd shift, plus 2nd shift premium

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs setup and diversified operations on CNC or manual machining centers.

Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.

Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions to finished work piece.

Attaches fixture to machining bed and positions and secure work piece in fixture according to setup instructions.

Selects and installs cutting tools in machine spindle or magazine.

Measure work piece for conformance to specifications.

Utilizes override control to correct conditions that are out of tolerance or operating unusually by coordinating with the manufacturing engineer.

Machines materials other than metal, such as composites, plastic, and rubber as required.

Cleans machine, tooling, parts and performs machine maintenance along with 6S principals.

Adjust machine feed and speed and change cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions, will coordinate with manufacturing engineer.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

CNC Lathe or Mill Operators with

Ability to read and interpret blueprint

Machinist 2

Must have 4 - 6 years machining experience and the ability to do set-up with some supervision. Basic shop math.

Machinist 3

Must have 6 - 10 years machining experience and ability to do set-up with no supervision. Higher level shop math.

Demonstrated Experience
- Precision measuring tools, gauges and other inspection devices
- Part drawings/blueprints, dimensioning, and tolerancing including GD&T
- Basic understanding and application of GD&T, CNC Machine Tools and G-code and DNC Controls

Position Pay Range: $25.00 - $34.00 Per Hour. Hiring range and position pay range may differ, commensurate with education level, qualifications, and experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
