Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Mahjong Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will introduce students of all ages to the exciting world of Mahjong, a traditional tile-based game that combines strategy, skill, and cultural appreciation. Your enthusiasm for teaching, combined with your deep understanding of game mechanics and learning technologies, will inspire learners to develop their skills and enjoy the rich history behind this classic game. This paid position offers an opportunity to foster critical thinking, strategic planning, and social interaction through engaging lessons and activities. Must be comfortable teaching both American and Hong Kong version.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver comprehensive Mahjong curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating modern teaching methods and learning technology tools.
• Facilitate engaging classroom sessions that promote active participation, strategic thinking, and cultural understanding of Mahjong.
• Develop innovative lesson plans that integrate game theory, probability, and logical reasoning to enhance learners’ analytical skills.
• Assess student progress regularly through practical demonstrations and quizzes, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Manage classroom environments effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging respectful interactions, and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Organize tournaments or group activities that foster teamwork, friendly competition, and social skills among participants.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in educational technology and game-based learning to continuously improve instructional methods. Qualifications
• Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson planning within educational or recreational settings.
• Strong knowledge of Mahjong rules, strategies, and cultural significance; prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to work with children, teens, or adult learners in diverse environments.
• Proficiency with computer skills including presentation software, online learning platforms, and digital resources for interactive teaching.
• Background in working with students of varying ages and backgrounds; experience in early childhood education or adult education is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and patiently while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance engagement and comprehension during lessons.
