Mail Clerk- VSP

Summary

Performs the duties as necessary for completion of mailing and assembly jobs according to each customers' specifications.

Responsibilities

Operates mailing equipment including but not limited to Rena addressing machines, collating, folding, drills, etc. Operates

production equipment as necessary including but not limited to mailing equipment, drills, folding machines, cutters, etc.

Performs duties as necessary for the completion of mail jobs. Performs the duties as necessary for completion of mailing jobs

which include but are not limited to: hand and machine folding materials, applying labels, zip sorting, collating and inserting

materials. Maintains a clean workstation and assists with returning supplies and materials to their proper location in the

warehouse.

Performs duties as necessary for completion of assembly jobs. Assembles raw materials into finished products. Maintains a clean

workstation and assists with returning supplies and materials to their proper location in the warehouse.

Working Conditions

* Bend to reach objects, perform duties like inspecting equipment or devices or to pick up fallen objects like patients, visitors or

staff.

* Ability to climb and balance on stairs, stools, ladders and the like.

* Ability to identify objects by color (electrical wires, lab tests, etc)

* Ability to communicate effectively (i.e. verbal (talking), sign language, lip reading, writing, etc.).

* Ability to access equipment, supplies/parts located in difficult to reach areas.

* Performs cleaning, repairs, patient care, office duties include filing, etc.

* Exposure to electrical power sources, combative patients, visitors or staff or chemicals like cleaning or anesthetic agents.

* Incidents of an emergent nature requiring a timely response (i.e. failed equipment, urgent patient care, unruly

patient/visitor/staff).

* Exposure to bloodborne pathogens & communicable disease. Exposure to blood or body fluids via equipment or patient contact.

* May require working on-call, weekend, night and evening shift and hours beyond the regular scheduled work day/week.
