The Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in ensuring our community remains safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for residents, team members, and guests. This position is responsible for completing routine maintenance tasks, responding promptly to repair requests, and supporting preventative maintenance and safety programs. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds
Conducts regular inspections of the life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems
Oversees necessary repairs and maintenance in apartments and common areas including refurbishment for move-ins
Ensures the outside of the property is maintained, including landscaping, snow removal, and garbage/trash removal
Maintains inventory control for general supplies, parts, and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance
Responds appropriately to resident or community maintenance emergencies by assisting as needed
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Previous maintenance experience preferred
Must have patience, tact, and a willingness to assist residents, family and staff
Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed
Pay:
$22.50 to $24.00 an hour, based on experience
