The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for independently handling troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical and electronic systems/equipment used in a fabrication workshop supporting oil & gas projects. The role ensures all machinery, tools, and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Independently diagnose and repair electrical faults in fabrication shop equipment and machinery.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical systems and workshop machinery.
- Troubleshoot motors, control panels, breakers, transformers, switches, relays, and distribution systems.
- Maintain workshop lighting, power distribution, cable routing, and electrical safety systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Electronics & Control Systems
- Repair and maintain electronic control systems, PLC panels, VFDs, sensors, and automation components.
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits and industrial instrumentation systems.
- Calibrate and test electronic devices and monitoring equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of welding machine electronics and fabrication-related equipment.
Fabrication Shop Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain fabrication workshop equipment such as:
- Welding machines
- CNC machines
- Cutting machines
- Drilling and grinding machines
- Compressors and generators
- Hoists and lifting equipment electrical systems
- Coordinate shutdown maintenance activities with production teams.
Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
