Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems, and implementing repairs efficiently. Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace defective components through welding, mechanical adjustments, or electrical repairs in accordance with safety standards.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose faults and ensure automation systems function correctly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, painting, and general building upkeep to ensure a safe working environment.
- Supervise or assist with team members on maintenance projects, providing guidance based on your leadership experience.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments.
- Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on welding skills for repairing metal components and structures.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Experience in HVAC
- Experience in Plumbing
- Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling and documenting maintenance activities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing maintenance projects or teams.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for facility upkeep tasks.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes to support production needs efficiently.
