Job Description
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and supporting the repair of equipment, machinery, and facility systems within the Interlube terminal. This position plays a key role in ensuring operations remain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted, in alignment with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on terminal equipment, machinery, and systems.
- Assist with basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues, reporting critical problems to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure infrastructure and machinery meet safe operating requirements.
- Respond promptly to internal maintenance requests and operational emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and completed work.
- Support installation, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Strictly follow all safety policies, including OSHA, USCG, TWIC, and Interlube internal procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations, Traffic, and HSSE departments to reduce downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Requirements
- Previous experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to identify equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
- Ability to work in industrial environments and outdoor conditions.
- Must have a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one (required for work in restricted port areas).
- Availability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and assist during operational emergencies.
- Ability to work safely and follow established procedures and policies.
- Basic to intermediate English and Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Schedule & Work Conditions
- Rotating shifts based on operational needs.
- Availability to work inside and outside the terminal as needed.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
