Maintenance Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

Spinneys, the UAE’s leading premium food retailer, is looking for a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, an eye for detail, and a willingness to learn as a MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their skills in equipment and facility maintenance, while supporting the Maintenance Technician to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

ORGANIZATIONAL FIT

This person reports directly to the MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR/MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist the Maintenance Technician in carrying out equipment maintenance and repairs.

· Help perform preventive maintenance checks in line with scheduled plans.

· Support responses to breakdowns and assist in implementing fixes.

· Handle tools and equipment carefully as per instructions.

· Contribute to facility upkeep, including tasks like painting, repairs, replacements, and cleaning.

· Follow food safety and hygiene practices during all maintenance work.

· Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all work areas.

· Use appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols at all times.

· Assist in equipment cleaning routines under supervision.

· Support transitions between high-care and low-care zones in line with policy.

· Complete assigned tasks and report progress to supervisors

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

· Basic technical knowledge; prior experience in maintenance or general labour is a plus.

· Willingness to learn and follow safety and hygiene protocols.

· Strong team ethic and good communication skills.

· Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,025.00 - AED2,225.00 per month
