Maintenance Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to support our facilities and manufacturing operations. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance and customer service. Duties

• Maintain all interior fixtures in good repair including walls, woodwork, handrails, nurse call systems, light
• fixtures, furniture, etc., in accordance with established procedures
• ! Maintain plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems according to established
• procedures, manufacturer’s instructions and county, state, and federal laws and regulations, as applicable.
• ! Troubleshoot failures in plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning or appropriate ventilation systems and
• obtain the services of appropriate licensed service firms, under direction from the Maintenance Director
• ! Check Maintenance Log. Routinely and promptly repair and document corrections
• ! Respond promptly to emergency repair requests

Requirements

• Check Maintenance Log. Routinely and promptly repair and document corrections Respond promptly to emergency repair requests
• Running the emergency generator (every 14 days)
• ! Checking fire alarms, fire extinguishers, smoke and heat detectors and sprinkler systems
• Checking water temperatures (daily)
• Checking, oiling and cleaning community fans (monthly)
• Notation of all service company visits
• Checking oxygen rooms and/or s systems (weekly)
• Checking call lights (daily - monthly)
• Cleaning and replacing filters on ventilation system
• General repair, including fixing:
• Broken windows and screens
• Loose handrails or grab bars
• Loose or wobbly furniture legs
• Loose door knobs or door fixtures
• Repair and maintain wheelchairs
• Periodically inspect and clean roof and gutters and repair same if necessary
• Assure the preventative maintenance schedule is met and properly recorded:
• • Mechanical patient lifts
• • Grease trap kitchen
• • Dryers and washers
• • Refrigerator and freezers
• • Dishwasher
• • Ice Machines
• • Shower chairs
• • Hair Dryers
• • Shower hoses
• • Suction machines
• • Generator
• • Call System
• • Heating/cooling system
• • Vehicles of community

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
