Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 8:30am -5pm
- Full Time, working 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks).
- Every other holiday required.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant- Floor Care provides service by cleaning and mopping all dining room floors, and by stripping, waxing and buffing floors throughout the Care Center facility. This position also performs carpet spotting, carpet stain removal, and the basic extracting of all facility carpeting as needed. Other duties include the removal of refuse from the care center facilities. Services are provided in accordance with the mission of Guardian Angels.
Job Duties:
- To clean and mop all dining room floors, strip, wax, and buff floors throughout the Care Center facility.
- Perform carpet spotting, carpet stain removal, and basic extracting of all facility carpeting.
- Remove refuse from the Care Center facilities.
- Assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.
- Follow universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
- All duties will be performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines, state and federal regulations.
- Uphold confidential information as required by Guardian Angels Care Center policy and procedure and as related to HIPAA.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the Guardian Angels of Elk River.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Prior building maintenance experience is preferred.
- Must be able to follow instructions and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have excellent verbal and written (read and write) communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, with ability to organize and prioritize.
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Must maintain good attendance and punctuality.
