About Us

Williamsburg Pottery Factory is looking for a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant/Laborer to join our team. This role is a great fit for someone with a strong work ethic, basic handyman skills, and the ability to handle physical, hands-on work.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Assistant/Laborer will assist with routine repairs, upkeep of facilities, and general labor tasks. This is a part-time position (around 30 hours per week) and requires someone who is physically capable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform light repairs and general handyman tasks (basic plumbing, carpentry, or electrical as needed).
• Handle heavy lifting and moving materials or equipment (up to 75 lbs).
• Stand and work on your feet for several hours at a time.
• Carry out grounds keeping and facility upkeep such as trash removal, landscaping, and minor fixes.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely.
• Assist with other maintenance and labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic handyman or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Able to stand for extended periods while performing tasks.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Position Details

• Part-time role: ~30 hours per week.
• Hourly pay: negotiable (based on experience).
