Maintenance Associate

POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including cleaning, setting up, closing and maintaining facility to support the achievement of Joints’ goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Performing a wide range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to cleaning floors, windows, tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Performing required light maintenance including but not limited to changing light bulbs, changing washers in faucets, and inspecting and cleaning grease traps
  • Initiating set up of tables and chairs for various functions
  • Assisting in an entire team effort
  • Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
  • Reading and interpreting safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
  • Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly facility
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic reading skills
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures
  • Basic mechanical skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Hand-eye coordination is essential. The employee is regularly exposed to unusual elements, such as high temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, steam, humidity, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Other hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. The employee is frequently required to sustain contact and immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions, and is frequently expected to wash their hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
