ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including cleaning, setting up, closing and maintaining facility to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Performing a wide range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to taking out the trash, cleaning floors, windows, tables, chairs, and equipment in accordance with cleaning procedures.
- Clean all areas located inside the manufacturing area like walking aisles, and all areas outside the building
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
- Carrying out opening and closing duties
- Performing required light maintenance including but not limited to filling soap dispensers, changing paper had towels, changing light bulbs, changing washers in faucets, and inspecting and cleaning grease
- Initiating set up of tables and chairs for various functions
- Assisting in an entire team effort
- Moving trash to the outside dumpster, which may require using a forklift
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Able to read, understand, interpret and follow work instructions
- Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
- Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekend
- Must be trained in and competent in using the forklift safely and in accordance with the companies forklift policy
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
- Moderate physical effort handling parts. Equivalent to frequently exerting average effort. Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks. Able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs. repetitively.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
- Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
- Continuous mental and visual attention in cleaning. Diversified duties requiring constant alertness or activity.
- The employee is frequently required to sustain contact and immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing environment with multi step process production runs on different machines.
- High value highly customized components and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications
- Noise Level: Moderate to High
- Temperature variable with season
